Maternity Photoshoot Birmingham, Alabama

Our first phone conversation was great. We ended up chatting longer than expected.

Her original plan was to shoot a newborn photo session (see those images HERE ). As we talked she knew she wanted to preserve the memories of this special time in her and her husbands life. We ended up scheduling this Maternity Mini Session as a little add on.

One of the very first questions she asked was, "Can we bring the dog along?" and without hesitation I replied, "Absolutely, you can bring the dog with you. She is, after all, going to be a big sister”

Lauren is obviously a natural in front of the camera! From her time on ESPN to her public speaking she just shines in her element. What shines through even more is genuine and grace.

This ended up being my favorite shot:

As I was directing them towards the golden hour light so that I could grab a few sun flares, there was a moment where they just seemed to forget I was around and just stood in the sweetest embrace.

(With pup looking on and smiling of course)!

Behind the Scenes - you can see what a beautiful area we are in and how beautiful Lauren is as a glowing mom to be!

A must-have in any maternity photo session (and really any photography session) is a classic portrait that is simple and timeless. This type of photograph serves as the perfect memento to frame and gift parents and grandparents.

Laurens favorite image from the session was this one. She loved the movement and the sun shining through her dress.

This was such a fun Maternity Photoshoot. There are some amazing places to have a photography session in Hoover, Alabama but this field is my favorite! The sunset was perfect and this couple is the sweetest. Oh, and let’s not forget sweet Mags…. isn’t she the cutest!!

I am so excited for this sweet couple. They are going to be amazing parents!
