Every milestone in life is a story waiting to be told, and nothing captures the wonder of a child’s first year quite like a cake smash photo session. Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing one of the most adorable little boys! He absolutely stole my heart!
Every cake smash session starts without the cake. We capture classic photos before the mess begins. This little guy loved the balloons. He tried to pick up as many as he could and show them to him mom and I. Though the balloons were fun the real excitement began when the cake was introduced. With the cake placed in front of him, this little guy’s eyes lit up! There was no hesitation—he dove right in. He poked, prodded, licked, dug into the cake, took big bites, but what made this cake smash photo session truly unforgettable was the unplanned, adorable moment when he ended up laying face down in his cake. The session was filled with laughter, giggles, and a whole lot of mess. And his mom and I just laughed right along with him.
